How To Remove D&G HEMA Free Builder Gel

D&G HEMA Free Builder Gel is easy to remove by following these simple steps.

What you will need:

  • 80 or 150 grit nail file
  • Nail buffer
  • Cotton makeup remover pads
  • Cuticle oil
  • Aluminium kitchen foil
  • Cuticle pusher
  • Orange wood sticks

Step 1.  With an 80 or 150 grit nail file, file away the gel polish from the nails.

Tip - Use a cuticle oil around the cuticles prior to soaking to avoid drying the cuticles.

Step 2.  Cut some cotton makeup remover pads into pieces big enough to cover your nails.  Soak the pieces in Acetone and place them on top of the nails.

Step 3.  Secure each cotton pad to the nails by wrapping in aluminium foil.  Let them soak for 6 mins.

Step 4.  Remove the foil and cotton pad from the first finger and gently scrape away the lifted Builder Gel using an orange wood stick or cuticle pusher. Then File away the soft Builder Gel.  When you reach the hard layer, wrap the nail again with the acetone and cotton pad to soak while you move onto the next finger.

Tip: Always scrape in the direction away from the cuticle towards the free edge.

Step 5: Repeat step 4 on each finger, until you get to the natural nail.

Step 6.  Using a buffing block, buff away any remaining Builder Gel and base coat.

Step 7. Push back the cuticles and apply cuticle oil to the cuticles and nails.
